On behalf of GNE, we donated sweaters for 67 elderly prison inmates those who were aged between 60 to 88 years old. The 67 sweaters was sponsored by Dr.Uma Maheswari, Kamuthi, Ramanad District of Tamilnadu to cope with the winter cold. Dr.Sathya Jegannathan has showed enormous interest in this effort.

On 23rd December, 2013 GNE organized a small event to distribute the sweaters to the elderly inmates. Tirunelveli City Municipal Corporation Counselors Mr.Alaguraj, Mr.S.N.Saravanan, Mr.Dhanalakshmi Rajavelu were the special guest to gift.

Mr.R.Kanagaraj, Superintendent of Prison has thanked Dr.Uma Maheswari and Dr.Sathya Jegannathan for their generosity. Mr.K.R.Raja and Mr.Gladwin, Psychiatric Social Workers were also part of this event.
