Rather giving fish to eat, Teach how to catch fish…

Today (19.06.2013) GNE have gifted a sewing machine under Towards New Dawn program to a wife of an (prison) inmate (he serves life term imprisonment now 11 years completed in prison). The wife is a sole breadwinner of the family to feed her three sons and educate them in schools.

Although it may seem like traditional, but after assessing her skill sets in tailoring. GNE decided to gift her sewing machine to earn and to support her three sons’ education.

GNE share this glorious moment by thanking Dr.Sathya Jegannathan, Chief Pediatrician in TMCH and Ms.Meena Mohan, Director of Kumaran Systems – Chennai for their greatest contribution to buy this gift.

Thanks to everyone who are part of this initiative to reduce re-offending rate in India.
